Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 March 2026

This cookie policy explains what cookies are, how ToggleKit Ltd (trading as “The Pixel House”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses them on thepixelhouse.co.uk and our visual regression testing services (the “Service”), and what choices you have regarding them.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve efficiency, and to provide information to the site owners. Cookies can be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

2. Cookies we use

We use a minimal number of cookies, all of which are strictly necessary for the Service to function. We do not use any advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

2.1. Essential cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to operate. They cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as signing in or setting your preferences.

CookiePurposeTypeDuration
better-auth.session_tokenMaintains your authenticated session after signing in. Set by Better Auth.Session / PersistentUp to 30 days, or until you sign out
better-auth.csrf_tokenProtects against cross-site request forgery attacks on form submissions and API requests.SessionExpires when you close your browser
__cf_bmSet by Cloudflare to distinguish between humans and bots. This is necessary for security and does not track you across sites.Persistent30 minutes

2.2. Analytics cookies

We do not currently use any analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

2.3. Third-party cookies

When you interact with our payment pages, Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies on your device to process transactions securely and to detect fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy. We do not control the content or duration of these cookies.

We do not permit any other third parties to set cookies through our Service. We do not use social media plugins, advertising networks, or third-party tracking scripts.

3. How to manage cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options in your browser’s “Settings”, “Preferences”, or “Privacy” menu. You can:

  • View what cookies are stored on your device and delete them individually
  • Block cookies from specific or all websites
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that if you block or delete our essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the Service or use authenticated features. The Service requires session cookies to function.

For guidance on managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

4. PECR compliance

We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) as amended. Under PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, as they are essential for the Service you have requested. We only use strictly necessary cookies and do not set any non-essential cookies.

Should we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a cookie consent mechanism and obtain your explicit consent before setting them.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We will notify you of any material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website.
